Edinburgh's Castle, with some statue. The castle was built on a dormant volcano and the cooled magma created a hill that looms above the rest of the city. You can see the castle from almost anywhere, it was pretty imposing.
Thanks, the fountain was impressive but I couldn't remember the name of it. And if you'll look carefully you'll see I said you could see the castle from ALMOST anywhere. This would exclude such places as people's basements, places with tall buildings obstructing the view... etc.
I started this blog to keep in touch with family and friends while I was studying abroad in Oxford. I guess that's when I decided I love traveling. Places I've visited include: England, Scotland, Ireland, Greece, Toronto, and New York City. Places I frequent often are Upstate NY, Vermont and Canada. I am currently living in Albany, NY with my trusty Wally always by my side.
