Edinburgh's Castle, with some statue. The castle was built on a dormant volcano and the cooled magma created a hill that looms above the rest of the city. You can see the castle from almost anywhere, it was pretty imposing. Posted by Picasa

Thanks, the fountain was impressive but I couldn't remember the name of it.
And if you'll look carefully you'll see I said you could see the castle from ALMOST anywhere. This would exclude such places as people's basements, places with tall buildings obstructing the view... etc.
