This is probably the best Valentine's Day ever. It's a snow day! Below you'll find a video Melissa created chronicling the buildup of snow over the past two days. We went sledding last night while the snow was still coming down pretty hard. It is easily up to my knees in most places. Most schools are closed, including ours! Happy Snow-Day everyone!
In researching for my presentation on Frodo Sam and Gollum I discovered this movie clip. Apparantly there was an animated version of Lord of the Rings made in the late 70's. Needless to say, I thought it was pretty awesome/hilarious.
The music is pretty catchy, but I have no idea how children could have sat through more than 10 minutes of this.
I don't really know if I'm allowed to post pictures of someone else's artwork online but here I am doing it anyway. I am such a law-breaker. Jenny used a picture of my little sister Eliza in her art show. Isn't she great?
The piece is titled "Little Dancer". All of Jenny's works feature pictures of children. She even got a bunch of kids from downtown to come to her opening. It was so funny to see the hoard of 6-12 year old girls running down the hallways. If you are interested, go look at the pieces hanging in the art gallery. They are awesome!
