Anne Hathaway's Cottage

We went to Stratford last Saturday. I will attempt to start posting some of those pictures. Stratford is an amazing town. Birthplace and deathplace of Shakespeare; it was a fitting last field-trip of our group. After studying Shakespeare to death we finally get to see some of where he lived. I think it would be an understatement to say that Stratford is proud of their famous writer. Everywhere in the town there are references to Shakespeare. Statues, memorials, shops with names like "As You Like it" and "Much Ado About Toys"... It was fun to explore and see how many different things we could find.
Anne Hathaway's cottage is the home of Shakespeare's wife growing up and were they would have courted. They even had the bench that Shakespeare and Anne would have sat on. It looked really uncomfortable. Posted by Picasa
